As a tribute, I raise my kopi-o kosong as a toast to you!
Starting the new year is like getting a mystery box. What's in the box? What do we have in store for 2022? I thought I'd offer you a sneak peek of what's coming up in what promises to be an exciting year.
Firstly, for all of you Kopi King fans, we have good news. One of our upcoming releases is a sequel to Kopi King that can be played simultaneously with Kopi King or as a standalone game. It has all-new gameplay that we're sure Kopi King fans will love, and we can't wait to launch this! For now, all we can reveal is that we're giving you extra local menu items to enjoy with your tea and coffee. If you are a fan of the artwork of Kopi King, you'll be happy to know that @yyishyan is picking up her stylus once again to illustrate this expansion. Welcome back Emma!
Another new release in 2022 is a festive set collection rummy-style card game that will get the whole family swapping auspicious symbols and screaming huat! Inspired by the fun and universality of mahjong, I can imagine this game appealing to gamers and non-gamers alike in multicultural Singapore and the rest of the world.
Finally, Alphabeasts Attack! is a co-operative strategy word game that will hit the shelves by the middle of 2022. Team up with 1-4 other players, ages 8+, to battle and defeat the Alphabeasts by forming words and harvesting their brains; just try not to get too badly scratched.
You don't need the proficiency or vocabulary of an English teacher or a literature graduate to fight the Alphabeasts, just teamwork and an open mind. Alphabeasts Attack, like Rainforest City before it, is designed with multiple difficulty levels. That means that it isn't just intense fun for the hardcore word game fan but also suitable for families to play with young children to turbocharge their growing vocabularies. We're looking forward to all of you being able to surprise yourselves and your friends with the might of your lexicon!
But wait, there's more stuff left in the box! We also have very exciting Kickstarter campaigns lined up in the later part of 2022. We'll reveal details about these games as we are able to, so watch this space!

One of our board game publisher colleagues in Hong Kong, Time2Play, is publishing a HK version of Kopi King, with all new ingredients and HK drinks.
May I Take Your Drink Order is illustrated by the talented Tsui Brothers, who are the brains behind the very popular Milkteaology. This game will bring the cha chaan tengs of Hong Kong right into your living rooms, just like how Kopi King did the same with kopitiams! We'll be getting copies of this game later in the year, so stay tuned!

Re: expansion of Kopi King would be the foods like kaya bread and soft boiled eggs to go with the drinks? If not then, other local drinks like horlicks and siew Dai versions.
